A new short proto-Canaanite inscription from Khirbet Qeiyafa is presented in a recent article published in the Bulletin of the American Schools of Oriental Research (BASOR 373, 2005, 217-233). The dating of the inscription is ca. 1020-980 b.c.e. This short inscription was incised before firing on a storage jar. It includes two personal names: Beda‘ and ’Išba‘al.
The article is available at Haggai Misgav’s personal page.
