The administration system of the Hittite empire (13th cent. BCE) and the activities of the Court officials who constituted its main body could be reconstructed through the cuneiform texts and sealings found in the capital city Hattuša and other sites of Anatolia and Syria. Recent research has highlighted family and professional ties and interactions between different court members. In this presentation, examples concerning the activities of court officials who lived and worked during the 13th century BCE, the last phase of the Kingdom of Hatti, will be analyzed in detail.
