Fragmentary linear alphabetic inscription found in Jerusalem
During recent excavations in Jerusalem, an inscribed pithos (large jar) engraved with a fragmentary linear alphabetic inscription was found. According to the first news, the inscription could be classified as proto-Canaanite (or Early alphabetic) as it dates to the 11th-10th Cent. BCE.
