Bronze from Ascoli. CIL I, 709. This bronze, dated of 89 BC, is of major importance for the understanding of Iberian anthroponymy. The members of a Iberian cavalry received roman citizenship for good and faithful services during Social War, which opposed Romans to Italic peoples. Iberians from the Salduie area (Zaragoza now), were awarded in Asculum (Ascoli) camp.
