pdnejt qýris ki

Funerary inscription found at the base of a figurine for the goddess Neith (Sais, Egypt).

Text in scriptio continua whose interpretation is confirmed by the Egyptian counterpart "pdnejt figlio di  qýri-".

The figurine has a cartouche with the name of the Pharaoh Psammeticus I (663-609 BC). For this reason it is believed to be the oldest inscription known at the moment in Carian.
