  1. Thesaurus Inscriptionum Raeticarum
    The Thesaurus Inscriptionum Raeticarum (TIR) is an online edition of the Raetic inscriptions in the form of an interactive online platform of the MediaWiki type.

Study and research centers

  1. Monumenta Linguae Raeticae
    Alteritas is a private research organisation based in Verona. In addition to conducting the Monumenta Linguae Raeticae project (under the direction of S. Marchesini), which led to the edition of the corpus published in 2015, Alteritas organises annual epigraphic-linguistic training schools, including epigraphic and Rhaetian culture in the programme. In September 2021, they organised an international, multidisciplinary round table on Networks, whose contributions will be published in a miscellaneous volume in 2023. All roundtable sessions are accessible on the Alteritas youtube channel.

  1. Learning paths on Raeti
    The Archaeological Office of the Provincia Autonoma di Trento organizes courses on the archaeological heritage of the Trentino region, including the Rhaetic culture. Instruction is also offered at the Rhaetic Museum in the Non Valley.

Museums and collections

  1. The Rhaetic Museum of Sanzeno
    The Rhaetic Museum of Sanzeno in the Non Valley houses a rich collection of archaeological objects from the prehistoric periods to the Middle Ages. The Museum also organises meetings, exhibitions, conferences and courses on Rhaetic culture. Its collections include dozens of inscribed Rhaetic objects from the Casalini sacred area on which the Museum was built and from the other nearby archaeological site of Cles.
  2. Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum, Innsbruck (A)
    The Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum houses a wide collection of findings from the Tyrol region, from the prehistoric to the modern ages. These include a section on pre and protohistory - with the Rhaetic section - through the Middle to the Modern times. The Museum hosts the single largest collection of inscribed Rhaetic objects.
  3. The Buonconsiglio Museum, Trento
    The Buonconsiglio Museum was founded in the mid-19th century from an original collection of the Civic Museum of Trento. Its collections include numerous items from the prehistoric period to the first half of the 18th century. Together with the Ferdinandeum in Innsbruck, this Museum houses the most conspicuous number of Rhaetic inscriptions.
  4. The National Museum of Este
    The National Museum of Este (Padova) has a vast collection of archaeological objects from the Veneto area, dating back to the 1st millennium B.C. Among these are also the inscriptions from Magrè (Vicenza), one of the most important centers of Rhaetic epigraphy.
  5. The Civic Museum of Bolzano
    The Civic Museum of Bolzano hosts both items from regional art history and folk art from the past. Among the few inscribed objects, the votive birch pole from Piperbühel (Collalbo/Klobenstein) with a long Rhaetic inscription is of great importance.
  6. MUSE - Science Museum of Trento
    The MUSE (Science Museum of Trento) was founded in 2011 in substitution of the older Trento Natural Science Museum. In addition to the more conspicuous collections of natural sciences, the Museum also contains inscribed objects (mostly horns) from the archaeological site of Montesei di Serso, from Pergine Valsugana (Trento).
  7. Miniscalchi-Erizzo Foundation, Verona
    The ancient house of the Miniscalchi Erizzo family was transformed into a museum in the ’50s. It hosts collections from the Venetian Renaissance of the 15th and the 17th centuries, as well as a small but important archaeological collection. Among the other archaeological findings from the Verona district, there is the “spada di Verona”, a bronze spit with a long Rhaetic votive inscription from Ca’ dei Cavri, near Verona.
  8. Archaeological Museum and Bostel site in Rotzo (VI)
    The Archaeological Museum of the Sette Comuni collects artefacts from systematic excavations and finds of various kinds, including material and Rhaetian inscriptions from the Bostel site in Rotzo. Its library contains a rich collection of works on the Rhaetic world.

  1. Ufficio Beni Archeologici, Trento
    The Archaeological Office of the Provincia Autonoma di Trento in addition to dealing with the preservation of the archaeological heritage of Trentino, carries out both scientific research and educational and supervisory activities. It also offers an up-to-date scientific library full of titles on the Rhetic world.
  2. Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio per l’area metropolitana di Venezia e le province di Βelluno, Padova e Treviso
    The Archaeological Office of Verona, Rovigo and Vicenza supervises, carries out archaeological excavations and promotes the archaeological assets of the Veneto region.
  3. Ufficio Beni Archeologici, Provincia Autonoma di Bolzano.
    The Bolzano Archaeological Office supervises, carries out archaeological excavations and promotes the archaeological assets of the Alto Adige Region. The laboratory of the Office houses the findings from Bolzano and the Alto Adige Region.
  4. Soprintendenza Archeologia Belle Arti e Paesaggio per le province di Verona, Rovigo e Vicenza
    The Soprintendenza supervises, carries out archaeological excavations and promotes the archaeological assets of the three Veneto provinces.
